Want to Get the Most Out of Your Dermatology Visit? Do This First.

Dermatology appointments move fast. If you want real answers (and better skin), show up ready.

Here’s how to prep like a pro:

🕒 Arrive early. 15 minutes is gold. There’s annoying paperwork, yes—but it lets your doctor actually focus on your skin, not red tape.

💊 Bring your products. Not just a list—bring the bottles or photos of the labels (medication name + strength). It saves time and helps your dermatologist avoid recommending stuff you’ve already tried.

🧴 Show your routine. Be honest. The stuff you're using now matters. Even if it’s “natural.” Speaking of natural Butter Oasis Moisturizing Balm can replace all your moisturizers - creams, lotions, serums, whatever from head to toe. Get yours now!

🎯 Mark your spots. Literally. Grab a skin-safe marker and circle anything you want looked at. That mole you couldn’t find once you got to the office? Yeah, that happens all the time. Don’t be that patient.

🗒️ Write down 3–5 questions. What are you worried about? Curious about? Make a list. Don’t trust your brain to remember mid-appointment.

🧠 Ask how they know. Not sure about a diagnosis? Ask how your derm came to that conclusion. A good one will explain.

    Know what to expect. Ask:

    • How long till I see results?

    • What side effects should I watch for?

    • What should I do if I get them?

    • When should I come back?

📆 Book your follow-up. Don’t wing it. Skin takes time to respond. Make a plan.

Your time is valuable. So is your skin. Make both count.
